Stepping up to advanced gambling responsibilities

Advanced RCG builds on RCG for people carrying Responsible Gambling Officer duties and senior operational responsibilities in New South Wales hotels and clubs with gaming machines.

The course focuses on complex patron interactions, sound decisions in difficult situations and the harm-minimisation systems a venue needs around its gaming operations.

Before you book

Check your English before booking You'll need enough English to take part. There's no formal language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) check for this course — just make sure you're comfortable reading plain English before you book.

What you'll need

Your RCG evidence. You must have completed Responsible Conduct of Gambling before you enrol in Advanced RCG.

Valid photo ID. Your identity is checked for this course.

Your competency card details. The Advanced RCG endorsement is added to your New South Wales competency card.

Advanced RCG NSW

Course Completion Certificate — non-accredited. It is not nationally recognised training.

Edway Training issues the Course Completion Certificate. This is a non-accredited course, so no national VET award is issued.

Advanced RCG endorsement

Your Advanced RCG endorsement is added to your New South Wales competency card.

The digital competency card is free; a physical card can be ordered through the competency-card self-service portal.

Why do this course?

Advanced RCG is the step up to Responsible Gambling Officer — the role every NSW pub and club with more than 20 gaming machine entitlements has to fill, and no one carries it out without this training.

Advanced RCG is a New South Wales course and endorsement.

The entrance has one step through a standard-width door. There is no alternative entrance.

Getting there

Parking

There is no customer parking on site. Paid parking is available nearby at Wilson Parking and at Secure Parking in Kings Cross. Limited metered street parking may be available. Always check the signs. Parking availability, hours and fees can change, so check the operator's website before travelling.
