Becoming the named supervisor on a removal job
You train to plan and oversee licensed asbestos removal, and to run the job to its asbestos removal control plan.
This is the supervisor's course, not the removalist's. It's for site supervisors and leading hands overseeing licensed asbestos removal — and anyone a licensed removalist must nominate as the on-site or readily-available supervisor.

Before you book
A quick language check is part of enrolment. You'll need enough English to read, write and understand the course. After booking, you'll complete a short language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) check in your student account. You need to pass it to do the course. Not sure? Try a practice check first. What you'll need
A USI. A Unique Student Identifier.
Photo ID. A valid photo ID, shown when you arrive on the day.
On the day, you'll also show 100 points of ID.
A removal Statement of Attainment. For non-friable (CPCCDE3028) or friable (CPCCDE3029) asbestos removal — either one meets the entry requirement. The earlier versions, CPCCDE3014 and CPCCDE3015, are accepted too.

Why do this course?
Every licensed asbestos removal job has to have a named supervisor holding this certification — on friable jobs they are at the removal area the whole time it is being carried out, and on non-friable jobs they have to be readily available to the crew.
Required for
- Asbestos removal supervisor — including site supervisors and leading hands the removalist namesThe supervisor is named on the removalist's licence, so the appointment comes from the licensed business you work for.
- Self-employed removalist working alone on non-friable asbestosWorking alone on more than 10 square metres of non-friable asbestos means holding the Class B licence and both competencies — worker and supervisor.

You spend a full day in the classroom with a trainer, at one of our training centres.

- 4Complete a short LLND checkIn your student account you complete a short language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) check. You'll need enough English to take part and to pass it.
- 5We confirm your enrolmentOnce you've finished the LLND check, we confirm your enrolment by email. If there's a problem with your eligibility, we'll contact you directly before you start.
- 6On the dayBring your removal Statement of Attainment and 100 points of ID. Arrive 15 minutes early. Your ID is checked when you arrive.
