This bundle includes Friable Asbestos Removal and Non-Friable Asbestos Removal. You choose and attend each course separately.

Friable Asbestos Removal

Remove friable asbestosCPCCDE3029 · Statement of Attainment

You learn to remove friable asbestos safely — asbestos in powder form, or that can be crumbled to powder by hand. It is the more hazardous form, and removing it is licensed work at any quantity.

You might be a construction or demolition worker removing friable asbestos for a licensed removalist, or someone working toward a nominated-supervisor role or a Class A licence of your own.

Class A training is one step toward that licence, not the licence itself. SafeWork NSW issues the licence to the business or self-employed person carrying out the removal — never to each worker on site.

  • What you'll learn
  • Prepare for asbestos removal
  • Prepare the removal area and site
  • Enclose the removal site
  • Remove the friable asbestos
  • Carry out decontamination
  • Clean up the work site
  • Complete the regulatory processes

Non-Friable Asbestos Removal

Remove non-friable asbestosCPCCDE3028 · Statement of Attainment

You train to remove non-friable asbestos safely — the bonded material that is not crumbly, and the kind construction and demolition workers meet most often on site.

It is written for the people doing that work: construction and demolition workers taking bonded asbestos off site, and anyone who needs this unit before moving up to Class A friable removal or supervising.
