Training for quick roadside jobs
Learn to work around live traffic on short-term, low-impact jobs where a site-specific risk assessment allows a simplified Traffic Guidance Scheme.
This course is for pothole repairs, vegetation trimming, minor maintenance, utility inspections and similar quick jobs across one or more locations.

Before you book
A quick language check is part of enrolment. You'll need enough English to read, write and understand the course. After booking, you'll complete a short language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) check in your student account. You need to pass it to do the course. Not sure? Try a practice check first. What you'll need
A current White Card. If you finished your White Card training less than 60 days ago and your card hasn't arrived yet, bring your Statement of Attainment instead.
Photo ID. Bring one valid photo ID. Your certificate is withheld without it.
Enough English. You need enough English to take part without an interpreter.

Certificate of Completion — for this specialised training. It is not a Traffic Controller, Traffic Management Implementer or Traffic Management Designer qualification, and no nationally recognised unit or Statement of Attainment is issued.

Getting there
The venue is a short walk from Anzac Station and Stop 20 Anzac Station on St Kilda Road. Anzac Station has lift access, and the tram stop has level-access platforms. There is no customer parking at the training venue. Paid public parking is available nearby at Nationwide Parking on Queens Road and at Wilson Parking's Gateway Car Park on St Kilda Road. Limited paid and time-restricted street parking may also be available. Always check the signs. Parking availability, hours and fees can change, so check the operator's website before travelling.
Finding the entrance
Enter through the main Bowen Crescent building entrance and go to Level 1. Suite 1.05 has Edway signage.

What happens after you book
- 1Check your emailYour confirmation email shows your training details. It comes from no-reply@edway.edu.au. It usually arrives within a few minutes of booking.
- 2Set up your student accountLog in with the details in your confirmation email and set up your account.
- 3Complete a short LLND checkIn your student account you complete a short language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) check. You'll need enough English to take part and to pass it.
- 4We confirm your enrolmentOnce you've finished the LLND check, we confirm your enrolment by email. If there's a problem with your eligibility, we'll contact you directly before you start.
- 5Have your White Card readyYou must hold a current construction induction card before training.
- 6Prepare your photo IDYou need one valid photo ID for the course.
- 7Arrive readyAllow enough time to be ready when your session starts.
After your training
- 1Receive your certificateYour Certificate of Completion is emailed to you when you finish.
- 2No card to apply forYour certificate is the only document issued for this specialised training.
- 3How long it lastsValid for 3 years from the day you finish — you need a refresher every 3 years.
