You learn to identify the hazards on a demolition site and apply risk-management strategies for safety, public health and the environment. CPCCDE3030 is the course SafeWork NSW approves for licensed demolition work in New South Wales.

It is written for the people on those sites: workers entering the demolition industry, machinery and equipment operators, licensed demolition contractors and named supervisors, and anyone doing demolition work without direct supervision.

The course is two units. CPCCDE3030 is the demolition unit; CPCCWHS2001 is its mandatory prerequisite, bundled with your course rather than bought separately.

Before you book

A quick language check is part of enrolment. You'll need enough English to read, write and understand the course. Photo ID. A valid photo ID — shown when you arrive for an in-person class, or uploaded in your student account if you study online.

An online module. You work through it before your course date. It takes about 4 hours.

Why do this course?

This is the course that gets you onto demolition crews in New South Wales — since 1 March 2025 a demolition licence holder can't put a worker on licensed demolition work without the SafeWork NSW-approved training.

Your Statement of Attainment is the document you carry. New South Wales is the only state or territory that requires this course before licensed demolition work. It is not a demolition licence in any state — everywhere else it counts as recognised training.

Choose how you train

In person

Before you come in, you complete an online module of about 4 hours — the WHS unit you need first. You attend a one-day classroom course with a trainer. Your ID is checked when you arrive.

Online, self-paced

Start straight away and work through both units online at your own pace — no class day to book. You have 2 months to finish.

Video evidence

Part of the online assessment is filmed. As part of the online assessment you must film and upload video of yourself demonstrating practical tasks from the course.

PPE you'll need

You'll film yourself wearing it. You need a hard hat, a hi-vis vest, ear protection and eye protection. As part of your video assessment, you must film yourself wearing them.

Unit 34 in the Prospect Highway complex. The training rooms are up a staircase, and there is no lift.

We have a ground-floor training room available for participants who require wheelchair access or have difficulty using stairs. Its availability may depend on participant numbers, so please notify us of any accessibility requirements when booking.

Parking

There is no customer parking on site. Limited public parking may be available nearby, including the small Blacktown Council Car Park 72 on Hope Street. Parking limits and availability vary, so check all signs. Allow extra time to park and walk to the venue.

Finding the entrance

Look for Unit 34 and the Edway/Training Aid signage. The entrance leads to a staircase up to the training rooms.

The entrance has one step through a standard-width door. There is no alternative entrance.

Parking

There is no customer parking on site. Paid parking is available nearby at Wilson Parking and at Secure Parking in Kings Cross. Limited metered street parking may be available. Always check the signs. Parking availability, hours and fees can change, so check the operator's website before travelling.

Enter directly from William Street through the shopfront branded Edway and Training Aid. There is one public entrance.

What happens after you book

  1. 1Check your emailYour confirmation email shows your venue, date and time, or your login details, depending on how you train. It comes from no_reply@trainingaid.com.au. It usually arrives within a few minutes of booking.
  2. 2Set up your student accountLog in with the details in your confirmation email and set up your account.
  3. 3Have your USI readyA Unique Student Identifier is required for this course. Get or find yours at usi.gov.au.
  4. 4Upload your photo IDUpload a valid photo ID in your student account. It's required for all nationally recognised training and confirms your identity for your certificate.
  5. 5Complete a short LLND checkIn your student account you complete a short language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) check. You'll need enough English to take part and to pass it.
  6. 6We confirm your enrolmentOnce you've finished the LLND check, we confirm your enrolment by email. If there's a problem with your eligibility, we'll contact you directly before you start.
  7. 7Finish the online moduleWork through the CPCCWHS2001 online module before your course date. If you already hold the CPCCWHS2001 Statement of Attainment, email it in before your course date instead and you can skip the module.
