Questions, answered

When can I start?
As soon as you enrol. There are no set dates — every course in this bundle is online and self-paced.
How long do I have to finish?
Study at your own pace — start, stop and come back whenever suits you. You have 2 months to finish, counted from the date of your confirmation email.
What do I receive when I finish?
You receive 2 course credentials, one for each course you successfully complete.
RSA: Will my RSA be recognised in other states?
Yes — your Victorian RSA training is nationally recognised. Queensland accepts it as it is, and Western Australia accepts the national unit itself — just show your Statement of Attainment rather than your Victorian certificate. The Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory accept it too, but it lapses three years after you finish, so you complete a short refresher there. Tasmania accepts it for bar staff (licensees need a Tasmanian-approved course). South Australia is the exception — it only accepts RSA training from providers its own Commissioner has approved, and Edway is not on that list. To work in New South Wales you'll need a short online bridging course — your Victorian RSA needs to have been completed within the last three years to be eligible. Full state-by-state details are on our Student Support page.
RSA: How long does my RSA last?
Your Victorian RSA certificate is valid for 3 years. You complete a free RSA refresher every 3 years to stay current.
RSA: Can I do the RSA online, or do I need to attend in person?
In Victoria the RSA is online-only, so there is no in-person class. Online study is self-paced and takes around 6 hours. You have 2 months to finish, counted from your confirmation-email date.
RSA: Is there a minimum age to do the RSA?
There is no minimum age to complete RSA training. You must be 18 or over to sell, serve or supply alcohol in Victoria.
RSA: How long do I have to finish the online course?
Your online RSA stays open for 2 months from the date of your confirmation email. You study at your own pace within that window — start, stop and come back whenever suits you. Most people finish in a single sitting of around 6 hours, so there's plenty of time.
RSA: What happens if I don't finish the online course within 2 months?
If you don't complete the course within the 2-month window, your enrolment is recorded as not completed and your fee isn't refunded. You'd need to enrol again.
RSA: Do I need an RSA to work in a bottle shop, club or at a festival?
Yes. You need an RSA before you can sell, serve or supply alcohol in any licensed venue — pubs, clubs, restaurants, bottle shops, stadiums and festivals.
RSA: What do I need to enrol?
You'll need a valid photo ID and your Unique Student Identifier (USI). You'll also complete a short language, literacy, numeracy and digital check in your student account after booking.
Customer Service: Is this course nationally recognised?
Yes. SITXCCS014 Provide service to customers is a nationally recognised unit, and the Statement of Attainment you receive is recognised in every state and territory.
Customer Service: Who issues my Statement of Attainment?
Edway Training (RTO 91401). Edway delivers this course and issues your Statement of Attainment.
Customer Service: Does my Statement of Attainment expire?
No. This is a unit of competency, so your Statement of Attainment is permanent. There is nothing to renew and no refresher to book.
Customer Service: Do I get a card with this course?
No. Customer service is not a licensed occupation, so there is no card and no regulator to register with. Your Statement of Attainment is the credential, and it is the only document you need to keep.
Customer Service: Will my Statement of Attainment be recognised in other states?
Yes. The unit is nationally recognised, so your Statement of Attainment goes with you to every state and territory. There is no state licence or card to transfer.
Customer Service: How is this course delivered?
Online and self-paced. You work through the modules in your own time in your student account and complete the assessment online. There is no class to attend and no start date to wait for.
Customer Service: What do I need to get started?
A computer or tablet with an internet connection, and your Unique Student Identifier (USI). This is an accredited unit, so a USI is required.
Customer Service: Do I need any training or qualifications before I enrol?
No. There are no prerequisites for this course, so you can enrol without any earlier training.
Customer Service: How long do I have to finish the course?
Your course stays open for 2 months from the date of your confirmation email. You study at your own pace within that window — start, stop and come back whenever suits you.
Customer Service: What happens if I don't finish within 2 months?
If you don't complete the course within the 2-month window, your enrolment is recorded as not completed and your fee isn't refunded. You'd need to enrol again.
