Provide Advanced Resuscitation HLTAID015 training is designed to build on skills already acquired with the HLTAID011 (HLTAID003) Provide First Aid certificate. The course has three general areas of focus: appropriate use of complex resuscitation skills, use and care of resuscitation equipment, and appropriate follow up procedures.

Advanced Resuscitation
Course Information
Advanced resuscitation covers the use of AED’s, the use of Oxygen tanks and Oxygen administration, bag-valve CPR masks among other equipment.
Provide Advanced Resuscitation HLTAID015 must be refreshed after 1 year to be considered up-to-date.
Provide Advanced Resuscitation Course is a standalone accreditation and no longer goes with Provide Advanced First Aid course.
To attend this course you must have a valid Provide First Aid HLTAID011 or HLTAID003 certificate.
This course includes Provide CPR – HLTAID009 qualification.
If you are interested in obtaining an Advanced First Aid qualification, please check to Provide Advanced First Aid Course HLTAID014.
This course supersedes the former qualification HLTAID007– Provide Advanced Resuscitation.
Worksafe’s Code of Practice requires ‘High Risk’ workplaces to have an Advanced First Aid Officer with Advanced Resuscitation accreditation for every 25 employees, two for 50 employees, and one extra Senior First Aid Officer for every 25 employees afterwards.
Advanced Resuscitation Training is designed for Senior First Aid Officers who are employed as first responders, construction site first aid managers, carers of children or the elderly, recreational and leisure team leaders and who are employed within the social welfare sectors, security industries and defence sectors.

What will you receive
After being assessed as competent in all online, practical and theory-based components, participants will receive:
Statement of Attainment with units of competency HLTAID009, HLTAID015

What you will learn
The Advanced Resuscitation Course covers topics such as
Resuscitation techniques – including face mask
Use of AED (defibrillation machines)
Appropriate use of oxygen apparatus
Use of airways clearing equipment
Use of mechanical resuscitation equipment
Appropriate care of resuscitation equipment
Legal responsibilities
Paperwork required after an incident
The Advanced Resuscitation training consists of the PowerPoint presentation, practical demonstrations which include role-play activities and end of the day assessment.

Nationally accepted
Statement of Attainment is nationally recognised all across Australia.
Course requirements

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.

LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital)
It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.
From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.
All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.
USI can be obtained via www.usi.gov.au

Identification
Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian driver’s licence, proof of age card, student card).
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D.

Online Pre-Study Module
Participants must complete the online pre-study module. It covers the theoretical part of Provide Advanced First Aid training.
The link to the online pre-study will be provided in an activation account email after booking in the course.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if a participant does not complete the online pre-study module.

Valid Provide First Aid certificate
Possession of a current HLTAID011 or HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificate is a mandatory requirement.
If you do not have a valid First Aid certificate, please book in Provide First Aid HLTAID011 or obtain it as a part of Provide Advanced First Aid HLTAID014 course before attending Advanced Resuscitation.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if participants do not show a valid First Aid certificate on the day of the training.
