The Utilities Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Worker Accreditation course is designed for workers employed directly or indirectly by a utility organisation that provides basic public needs such as water, gas, electricity, communications, and public transport services.
Indirectly refers to companies who solely work to provide services to a provider of electricity, gas, water or communications.
In collaboration with all Utilities providers the content of this course was designed to meet the needs of essential infield utilities workers for the application of restricted Temporary Traffic Management practices.
Who Can Complete the Utilities TTM Worker Accreditation Course?
The Utilities Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Worker Accreditation course is designed for all workers employed directly or indirectly by a Utility organisation that provides services such as water, gas, electricity, communications and public transport services. Indirectly refers to companies who solely work to provide services to a provider of as water, gas, electricity, communications and public transport services. A letter must be supplied to an Approved Training Provider (ATP) evidencing that a learner fits into the above category. Please note an ATP will supply a letter template for organisations to complete.
AND
Hold a Construction Industry White Card
Utilities Temporary Traffic Management Worker Accreditation is delivered and Certificates of Completion are issued by Edway Training Pty Ltd (RTO 91401).
On successful completion of the course, you will receive:
a Certificate of Completion confirming that you have successfully completed the Utilities TTM Worker Accreditation course
a Digital Utilities card

This course provides the individual with the skills to perform Utilities TTM Worker duties in Victoria which excludes the individual from performing the function of a Traffic Controller, Traffic Management Implementer OR Traffic Management Designer.
Edway Training is accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and approved by Austroads and the Department of Transport and Planning Victoria to deliver this training.
Expiry
This training is valid for three years from the date of completion. To maintain certification, a refresher course is required every three years.
Training Prerequisite
To enrol in the Utilities Temporary Traffic Management Worker Accreditation course, learners must:
hold a Construction Industry White Card
provide a letter from their employer confirming they work directly or indirectly for a utility provider
A template letter may be supplied by the Approved Training Provider for the employer to complete.

This certificate confirms you have the skills to perform Utilities TTM Worker duties in Victoria, but it is important to note:
this course does NOT qualify you as a Traffic Controller, Traffic Management Implementer, or Traffic Management Designer
The course is non-accredited and is not linked to a unit of competency.
Course requirements

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.

LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital)
It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.
From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.
All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.

Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian driver’s licence, proof of age card, student card).
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D.

hold a Construction Industry White Card
The employer letter may include multiple employees, or an attachment such as a spreadsheet listing multiple employees may be attached with the letter.
