What you will learn


The objective of the TAE40122 training is to provide learners with fundamental skills and knowledge that enable them to:

  • Design learning plans

  • Access the latest thinking on learning engagement

  • Interpret a unit of competency to design learning programs and assessment tools

  • Understand the relationship between the competencies or standards and the necessary evidence to support competency claim

  • Participate in the validation of assessment activities

  • Be a confident presenter and facilitator

  • practice effective ways of supporting workplace learning

  • Identify how to support learners how have language, literacy and numeracy challengers


Course Information


Delivery Mode

This course is delivered in a classroom setting with assessment workshops where facilitators and students can engage and interact with one another, examine assessment tasks and work in groups.

Assessment

Assessment is progressive with multiple assessment tasks to be completed for each unit of competency.

Assessment tasks include project work, training facilitation, written assignments, short answer questions, practical demonstrations and observation of performance in your workplace.

Participants may also be required to video record some assessments outside of the class time.



Course requirements



Vocational Competency

Participants must must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area.Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

Be 18 or over


Participants must be 18 years or over and will need to provide a government issued I.D. as a proof of age.

LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)


It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.

From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLN (Language, Literacy, and Numeracy) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.

All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.
