Edway Training is approved by LCV and accredited by the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver this training course.

Our RSA training course is delivered and statements of attainment with unit of competency SITHFAB021 “Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol” are issued by Edway Training Pty Ltd (RTO No 91401).


RSA Course Information
Duration: Approximately 6 hours of online learning, self-paced so you can complete it in your own, However, the course must be completed within 2 months of enrolment.
Assessments: Combination of knowledge checks, written tasks, and mandatory video assessments where you demonstrate refusal of service and other RSA.
Age Requirement: You may enrol under 18, but you must be 18+ to legally work with alcohol in.
Certificate Issuance:
Statement of Attainment emailed on the same day if assessments are submitted before 4pm AEST and your USI is verified.
LCV will then issue your official RSA Completion Certificate
USI Requirement: You must provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) before your Statement of Attainment can be.
Validity & Refresher: The RSA certificate itself does not expire, but you must complete a refresher course every three years, available free online via Liquor Control Victoria

Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for SITHFAB021
These documents allow you to legally work in licensed venues across Victoria.

What you will learn
The RSA course covers essential topics to ensure responsible service and community safety, including:
Legal requirements of Victorian liquor laws and liquor licence obligations.
Understanding alcohol and its effects.
Strategies to prevent underage drinking.
Refusal of service to intoxicated patrons.
Duty of care and harm minimisation.
Safe and responsible practices for packaged liquor and licensed events.
Delivery is through interactive online modules, case studies, videos, and an end-of-course assessment.
As part of the online assessment, students are required to film and upload video evidence of themselves demonstrating key RSA skills, such as refusal of service and responsible communication techniques.
Course requirements

LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital)
It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.
From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.
All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.

Identification
Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian driver’s licence, proof of age card).Please note only an international passport is accepted as a non-Australian document.IMPORTANT: Student ID (eg university or college) are NOT accepted as a valid form of ID.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D
