Red Card to White Card Transfer Melbourne
Old Victorian construction induction cards (known as the red cards) can be transferred to the new WorkSafe VIC-issued white card.
The transfer process will be done via the online student profile.
Who Can Apply for a Red Card to White Card Transfer?
If you currently hold a valid Red Card Victoria issued under the previous Victorian construction induction system, you may be eligible to transfer it to the current WorkSafe Victoria White Card through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. This option allows eligible workers to update their construction induction credentials without completing the full White Card training again, provided they meet the documentation requirements.
The transfer process is designed for workers who have previously completed recognised construction induction training and simply need their qualification converted to the current WorkSafe Victoria-issued White Card. If you do not hold an eligible Red Card, or you're entering the construction industry for the first time, you'll need to complete the standard White Card course instead. If your work also involves handling or disturbing asbestos-containing materials, completing an Asbestos Awareness Course is a valuable addition to your workplace safety knowledge.
