8-hour classroom training session

After the successful completion of the course, you will receive a plastic card issued by us.

Asbestos Removal Course Information
According to the OHS Act and Regulations, asbestos removal work involving non-friable asbestos-containing material (ACM) must be performed by a Class A or Class B licensed person if:
the area of ACM to be removed exceeds 10 square meters in total, or
the total time over which asbestos removal work is performed in any period of seven days exceeds one hour (this period is the cumulative total time the asbestos removal work is carried out by all employees over a period of seven days).
According to clause 88 of the SafeWork Victoria’s Compliance Code “Removing asbestos in the workplace”, refresher training should be conducted for Class B removalists every 2 years.
All workers and supervisors must complete a CPCCDE3014 Remove Non-Friable Asbestos training course to be allowed to perform Non-Friable Asbestos removal tasks.

Non Friable Asbestos Removal training covers asbestos removal related topics, such as Prepare for asbestos removal, Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site, Enclose removal site, Carry out asbestos removal process, Carry out decontamination process, Clean up work site and Complete regulatory processes.
Non Friable Asbestos Removal (Class B) training course consists of PowerPoint Presentation, End of the Day Practical and Theory Assessments, Videos, Class Activities, Class Discussions.

Nationally recognized
Statement of Attainment is nationally recognized.
However, additional training might be required in different states. Please refer to the local authority for more information.
Course requirements

CPCWHS1001 qualification
Participants MUST HOLD CPCWHS1001 "Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry" qualification issued after May 2009.
Statement of the Attainment must be presented on the training day as proof of qualification.
Please note that the old coloured cards (Victorian red card, NSW green card etc) issued prior to May 2009 are not accepted.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if participant does not present a Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 qualification

USI (Unique Student Identifier)
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.
USI can be obtained via www.usi.gov.au

Identification
Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian driver’s licence, proof of age card).Please note only an international passport is accepted as a non-Australian document.
IMPORTANT: Student ID (eg university or college) are NOT accepted as a valid form of ID.
ENTRY TO CLASS WILL BE REFUSED
if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.

LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital)
It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.
From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.
All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.
