To comply with SafeWork NSW regulations, all demolition workers must complete the CPCCDE3016 “Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies” unit by 1 March 2025. This unit is one of 10 essential competencies required for demolition named supervisors and licence holders.
CPCCDE3016 and CPCCWHS2001 Combo Format
Our CPCCDE3016 course is delivered as a combo package, combining CPCCDE3016 with CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industry, which is a prerequisite for CPCCDE3016
Online/face to face Option
The pre-requsiste unit is CPCCWHS2001 is to be completed online as pre-learning prior to attendance at the face to face class. The face-to-face classroom setting is perfect for participants who prefer an interactive learning environment and practical, in-person training. The face to face component is delivered in our Seven Hills and Darlinghurst training locations. Starting 1 March 2025, SafeWork NSW mandates that all workers in demolition activities must complete the CPCCDE3016 unit.

Training is required for
Workers physically undertaking licensed demolition work
Operators of plant or equipment involved in licensed demolition work
Professionals engaged in tasks directly connected to licensed demolition work
Training Records
Employers are required to maintain records of employee training and qualifications to demonstrate compliance with SafeWork NSW regulations.
Before commencing any high-risk demolition work, employers must notify SafeWork NSW and ensure that all workers have completed the necessary training.
Prerequisite Requirement
The prerequisite for the course is CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industry.
Our course offers a combined package that includes both the prerequisite CPCCWHS2001 training and the CPCCDE3016 demolition training, making it ideal for those who haven’t yet finished the CPCCWHS2001 unit.
