Mental Health First Aid Course Sydney
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses teach people simple, practical first aid skills for helping a family member, friend, co-worker or other person who is experiencing mental health problems.
Mental Health First Aid Course Sydney
MHFA course is designed and promoted by MHFA Australia – a national not-for-profit health promotion charity.
Mental health problems can affect anyone in the community and inaccurate and stigmatising attitudes towards people with mental illness are common.
Many people lack the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support a friend, family member or co-worker experiencing a mental health problem, including how to approach someone and start a safe conversation.
With everyday stress situations more and more workplaces require a Mental Health officer – a person who can detect a person’s mental problems at the beginning stage and who can help.
Encouraging early help-seeking is one way to promote a mentally healthy workplace.

It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.
From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.
All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.
