Childcare First Aid HLTAID012 qualification is valid for 3 years.
Provide CPR HLTAID009, Provide basic emergency life support HLTAID010 and Provide First Aid HLTAID011 are included in Childcare First Aid HLTAID012 training course.
This unit of competency has been approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) who has deemed it to satisfy all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting HLTAID012 supersedes the older HLTAID004 – Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting.

What you will learn
From dealing with asthma management to the application of an epidermal during severe allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock, or even how to correctly and safely perform CPR on an infant or small child, this course has you covered.
First Aid training course consists of a PowerPoint presentation, class activities, practical activities, and end of the day assessment.

Nationally accepted
Statement of Attainment is nationally recognised all across Australia.
Course requirements

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.

LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital)
It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.
From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.
All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.
USI can be obtained via www.usi.gov.au

Identification
Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian driver’s licence, proof of age card, student card).
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D.

Online Pre-Study Module
Participants must complete the online pre-study module. It covers the theoretical part of Provide Advanced First Aid training.
The link to the online pre-study will be provided in an activation account email after booking in the course.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED
if a participant does not complete the online pre-study module.
