Course Refund Policy
Objective
To provide a transparent, student-centred refund process that aligns with the 2025 Standards for RTOs, ensuring fairness, clarity, and accessibility.
Scope
Applies to all individuals enrolled in fee-paying courses at Edway Training, including face-to-face and online courses.
General Conditions

Refund requests must be made in writing with supporting documentation, if applicable.

Refunds are issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

All refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

A $10 administration fee applies to all refunds unless Edway Training cancels the course.

Refunds are not transferable to other individuals.
Refund Scenarios and Conditions
1. Withdrawal Before Course Start
-
More than 48 hours prior: full refund minus $10 admin fee.

Less than 48 but more than 24 hours prior course start – 50% of the course cost
-
No refund less than 24 hours prior course o No show: no refund.

No refund if person choose wrong training facility
2. LLN Ineligibility or Prerequisite Non-Compliance
-
Failed LLN test after payment: 50% refund.
-
Course prerequisites not met: no refund.
3. Special Circumstances (e.g., medical, compassionate grounds)
-
May be eligible for a partial or full refund.
-
Supporting evidence required.
4. Edway Training Course Cancellation
-
Full refund or option to reschedule. No liability for additional costs incurred by students.
5. Misconduct, Late Arrival, or Disqualification
-
No refund if student is removed for disorderly conduct, intoxication, arriving more than 15 minutes late, or breach of conditions.
Rescheduling Conditions
-
More than 48 hours’ notice: free reschedule.

Less than 48 but more than 24 hours’ notice - $20.00 admin fees applied
-
Insufficient ID/late arrival 25% of the course cost

Day-of reschedule or second reschedule -full course fee charged.
-
No fee if reschedule is due to documented exceptional circumstances.
Online Courses
-
No refund or cancellation once enrolled unless required by law.
Refund Request Procedure

Submit written request using website or sent email to melbourne@edway.com.au including course name, date, and payment method.

Admin team verifies eligibility.

Request submitted to accounts for processing.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method and to the same account that was used for the original transaction
Additional fees and charges that may apply are as followed:
Reissue of certificate via email: $0
Reissue of certificate via post: $15.00
Reissue of Plastic cards issued by Edway: $35.00
Consumer Protection Notice
This policy does not limit a student's rights under Australian Consumer Law. Students may access external dispute resolution or legal remedies where necessary.
Review and Governance
