Non Friable Asbestos Removal Sydney

The training course for Non-Friable Asbestos Removal is intended for those who handle, manage or remove non-friable asbestos containing material (ACM). The removal of asbestos can be hazardous and potentially fatal if not carried out correctly. For this reason, a license is required to undertake the removal process.

Please note that holding a CPCCDE3014 Remove Non Friable Asbestos certification only permits individuals to remove non-friable asbestos and does not cover the removal of the more hazardous friable asbestos. To work with friable asbestos, it is necessary to complete the CPCCDE3015 Remove Friable Asbestos training.

Please be advised that holding current qualifications CPCWHS1001 “Prepare to work safely in the construction industry” is a mandatory requirement for enrollment in this course. Only white cards issued after May 2009 will be accepted.

Non-Friable Asbestos Removal (Class B) training course is delivered and statements of attainment are issued by Training Aid Australia (91411).

SafeWork NSW only recognised CPCCDE3014 Remove non-friable asbestos statements of attainment issued by the approved training providers.

Training Aid Australia is approved by SafeWork NSW and accredited by the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver this training course.

Remove Non-Friable Asbestos Course Information

• In NSW, employers are required to have a Class B Asbestos Removal License to work with Non-Friable Asbestos. Completion of this course is a mandatory training requirement.

• All workers and supervisors must complete a CPCCDE3014 Remove Non-Friable Asbestos training course to be allowed to perform Non-Friable Asbestos removal tasks.

• This training course allows working with Non Friable asbestos containing material (ACM).

• This course supersedes and is equivalent to CPCCDE3014A Remove non-friable asbestos. SafeWork NSW recognises Statements of Attainment issued under a new unit of competency.

Course requirements

Current White Card

Participants MUST HOLD CPCWHS1001 "Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry" qualification issued after May 2009.

Statement of the Attainment or the plastic Construction Induction card (also known as the white card) must be presented on the training day as proof of qualification.

Please note that the old coloured cards (Victorian red card, NSW green card etc) issued prior to May 2009 are not accepted.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED 

if participant does not present current white card.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)

From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.

STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED

if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.

100 points of ID

Participants MUST PROVIDE 100 points of I.D. Please note that not all forms of I.D. are acceptable for a Friable Asbestos Removal course Check a list of accepted documents 

STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED

if participants do not provide 100 points of accepted forms of I.D.

Attendance

Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED

if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.

LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)

It is a requirement that all students must have basic English reading, writing, and understanding skills. Interpreters are not allowed for most courses.

From 1/7/25, all students must complete a basic LLN (Language, Literacy, and Numeracy) test before enrolment. This ensures you can understand the course content and get the right support during training.

All students enrolling in an Edway Training course are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of their student profile. This ensures they have the necessary skills to perform basic calculations, and to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, enabling them to successfully participate in the training and assessment process.
