What is OHS Training, and Who Needs It?

OHS training is designed to familiarise staff with the basics of Occupational Health and Safety standards, in order to ensure the safest workplace possible. OHS refers to a series of laws that govern workplace safety in throughout Australia, and as such determine the training standards for employees working in hazardous or potentially hazardous industries. Nationally accredited OHS courses will provide you with the information you need to create a safe workplace, and help you learn how to manage any accidents or injuries that do occur.
OHS Compliance
OHS training is needed in many workplaces in Australia. The majority businesses benefit from having OHS consultation training completed to meet current standards for safety, regardless of industry or the number of employees in the business. For many companies, OHS training is mandatory, and fines for non-compliance can be significantly higher than the cost of training staff. Edway Training's four day training course in OHS Consultation is both practical and affordable, so even smaller businesses can bring their staff up to current safety standards without breaking the bank.
As a participant, your OHS Consultation course focuses largely on providing you with the knowledge needed to manage workplace safety, navigate through the legalities of accidents in the workplace, and create and maintain the safest environment possible. Also covered are the skills to work within the accepted standards for creating a scalable safety system for the workplace. As with all aspects of running a business, there are some processes that make creating a safe workplace much simpler and more efficient.
Your Training
OHS Consultation training is a four day course for up to sixteen employees through Edway Training. You will need to contact the training organisation closest to you to select a date, or you can simply book and pre-pay your course online. You will need to be prepared for the course by advising employees who are attending on the dates and locations of the course.
